Known as a ‘school based apprenticeship’, this new system works by you employing a Year 11 or Year 12 student in full-time, 4-5 week blocks, throughout the school year.
When you consider that, on average accross Australia, only 45% of apprentices complete their apprenticeships you’ll understand why we, at the College, place so much importance on basics such as numeracy and literacy. These skills help our students better comprehend and understand what is required of them during their apprenticeships, their careers and their lives ahead.
Above all you can be confident in the knowledge that every apprentice you employ is supported by a strong pastoral network, a foundation in business ethics & enterprise and strong academic skills to make their transition from schoolroom to workplace that much easier. At the Australian Technical College - Western Sydney all curriculum is focussed on developing a better apprentice all-round for the employer.
Alternatively, you may consider joining our distinguished group of sponsors and supporters by providing scholarships for outstanding or disadvantaged apprentices. Donate to tradeplaces. It’ll be a shrewd investment in the future. |
